Can I Use Some Natural Remedies For Hemorrhoids Instead of Preparation H?

Welcome back!

WHAT ARE HEMORRHOIDS:

“Hemorrhoids, which are also called piles, are swollen and inflamed veins in your anus and rectum.”(Mayo Clinic/www.MayoClinic.com), ” Hemorrhoids are large varicose veins which are found in the anus and rectum.” (Natural Remedies Encyclopedia pg. 378), “An enlarged vein in the lower rectum or anus caused by blockage in the veins of the area.” (The Complete Writings Of Dr. John Christopher N.D. M.H– C.D.)

FACTS:

1) By age 50, about half of all adults have experienced the itching, bleeding and pain that often signal existence of hemorrhoids. 2) Internal hemorrhoids –are generally painless, but sometime bleed, the blood is bright red. 3) External hemorrhoids, also known as piles, sometime protrude from the anus. They enlarge, loose their elasticity and often form small sacs which protrude into the anal canal…they can be very painful. 4) Prolapsed hemorrhoids- This is an internal hemorrhoid that is protruding outside the anus; there is often mucous discharge and heavy bleeding, these can very, very painful.

Causes

Hemorrhoids can develop from any increase in pressure in the veins in the lower rectum. Common sources of pressure and hemorrhoid causes include:

  • Constipation and the accompanying straining
  • Circulatory Weakness of the Veins
  • Diarrhea and the continuous expulsion of loose stools
  • Liver Congestion
  • Obesity
  • Pregnant women and women who have had children tend to have hemorrhoids more often than other younger people.

Hemorrhoids are common in people who live on junk food diets, low fiber diets, lack sufficient exercise, sit a lot while working (especially sitting when tense or nervous), do heavy lifting, strain at the stool, are obese or pregnant, do heavy coughing, have prolonged use of enemas, and who have elevated blood pressure on the portal vein of the liver (as occurs in cirrhosis of the liver). (Natural Remedies Encyclopedia pg. 378),

“Varicose veins and hemorrhoids are both evidence of the same problem: lack of nutrients causing weakness in the circulatory system…The basic cause of this condition is sugar in the form of candy, beverages (pop, coffee, etc), pastries and bread. These leach out the calcium from the body. Other culprits are white flour, tobacco, and liquor. One of the first places the leaching starts is in the venous structure of the body, drawing off the supporting calcium. This is turn weakens the veins, causing varicose veins, which will, if allowed to continue, become phlebitis. Another serious area for leaching is the bowel area, where old fecal matter has accumulated. ” Dr. John Christopher (The Complete Writings Of Dr. John Christopher N.D. M.H– C.D.)

NATURAL REMEDIES

UNDERLYING CAUSE: First begin to address the underlying cause: Eliminate junk foods, and increase fiber in the diet by eating plenty of fruits and vegetables daily. Drink plenty of water, clean the lower bowel out! Avoid constipation, and avoid diarrhea. Avoid the things noted above that lead or contribute to the condition…. Take B complex, beta-carotene, (25,000 IU), vitamin E (400 IU) vitamin C (2,000 IU in divided doses), calcium (800 mg,) and magnesium 1,200 mg.

ACUTE STAGE REMEDIES:

RAW POTATO- Insert a piece of red potato, about the size of the little finger, into the rectum, for nearly instant relief. You can coat it with liquid vitamin e if you want. Retain it as long as possible. Sleep with it in. Insert a new one after each bowel movement.

COCONUT OIL- Bath the area clean with a cotton ball soaked in Witch Hazel. Follow with generous amounts of coconut oil. Follow this procedure about 3 times a day–basically every morning/night and after each bathroom trip. After 2- 3 days the pain should be completely gone, keep doing procedure until no visible outer hemorrhoids if you have them, should take a week to a week and a half.

ONIONS- Take two cups of finely chopped or grated green onions mixed with wheat flour and fried in vegetable fat until the mixture resembles a salve. A thick layer is spread on a cloth and bound to the affected area just before bedtime. Repeat for two days; this usually clears it up in two days.

“Push em Back In” Technique
This technique is used for the extremely quick relief of the pain of external hemorrhoids. First take a shower and clean the area good with soap, preferably a natural based soap. After you have cleaned yourself, while still in the shower, apply a good amount of soap thru fingers to use as a lubricant. With your middle finger, be careful not to use your fingernails, push the hemorrhoids back in! The pain will leave immediately. Remember, this is not the cure but for acute symptoms.
