Popular Health researcher and writer, Mike Adams wrote, “Today comedian Bernie Mac (best known for appearing in Oceans Eleven and The Bernie Mac Show) died today following hospitalization and treatment for pneumonia. At the young age of 50, Bernie Mac joins numerous other notable celebrities who have died while being treated with conventional pharmaceuticals or chemotherapy: Heath Ledger, Peter Jennings, Tim Russert and many more.
“Pneumonia is an infection that fails to be properly handled by the body’s
own immune system. Bernie Mac’s immune system, it turns out, was suppressed by pharmaceuticals due to treatments for an autoimmune disorder he was previously diagnosed with, called sarcoidosis.” He writes further “So what should Bernie Mac have done instead? It’s simple: Visit a naturopath, get off all the chemicals and medications, eliminate all the junk from his diet (processed foods, etc.) and transition to a mostly plant-based diet rich in superfoods and living foods. His lung condition would have disappeared and his immune system would have been strong enough to withstand infections.”

PNEUMONIA: “Pneumonia is a serious infection of the lungs and bronchial tubes. It can be caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or protozoa.”

REVELANT FACTS: Those under 1 year or over 60 years are more susceptible.

Bacterial pneumonia is more dangerous and severe than the viral type.

Those with HIV are more susceptible to contracting fungal pneumonia.

About 40,000 older Americans die yearly in the U.S. from pneumonia.

Pneumonia is the fifth largest cause of death in the U.S.

Most pneumonia deaths come from 2 sources: influenza which may progress to pneumonia, especially in the elderly, and hospital-acquired infections in those that are ill from other causes but develop pneumonia because their weakened immune systems can’t fight it off. According to Consumer’s Report on Health an estimated 4% of all patients develop the infection as a direct result of their hospital stay.

OVERVIEW OF NATURAL REMEDIES:

DIET: Start off by going on a liquid diet for the first few days…fruit juices diluted pineapple juice, or orange juice, lemon water without sugar…until the fever breaks, then strained vegetable broths, dry whole grains, fresh carrot juice; must be given copious amounts of fluid…especially water.

Cleansing: Rinse out the nose with saltwater, gently taking it in and blowing it out; also gargle with saltwater. Mix golden seal with myrrh in distilled water and repeat the cleansing of the nostrils and the throat by gargling…hereby seeking to prevent cold or flu from going down into the lungs.

Steam Baths: These will bring the poisons out of the body wonderfully. There are various types of steam baths, and these are all very valuable, very invigorating and health giving.

Footbath/Enemas: Give hot footbaths and a high herb enema daily (Lobelia: Add lobelia to a catnip enema.)

Garlic Syrup: Where there is spasm, give 1 teaspoonful of the syrup with or without water every 15 minutes until the spasm is controlled, then give 1 teaspoonful every 2-3 hours for the rest of the day; thereafter give 1 teaspoonful of the syrup 3-4 times daily.

Garlic/Echinacea- Take 6-10 cloves of Garlic per day with tincture of Echinacea….with good overall diet has been shown to cure pneumonia in 2 weeks.

“Henry Box Pneumonia Cure: The great herbalist, Henry Box of Plymouth, England, says: For colds, influenza, fevers, inflammation of the brain, pneumonia (inflammation of the lungs), stomach, bowels or any part, this is a certain cure. I have never known it to fail, even when given up, and at the point of death. It will not only save at the eleventh hour, but at the last minute of that hour. Besides, it is so safe and harmless that you cannot use it amiss. This wonderful, wise old man had been a physician of herbs for over sixty years and was known as one of the great doctors of all times.

The infusion for the tea is made as follows:

     2 ounces elder flowers

     2 ounces peppermint leaves (crushed)

1 1/2 pints boiling distilled water

Pour boiling water over herbs, cover and allow to steep (not boil) in a hot place 20 minutes. Strain and sweeten with honey, then drink the whole amount of tea as hot as possible while closely covered in bed. Cover a hot water bottle with a cloth or towel dipped in apple cider vinegar and place on the feet. In a few minutes there will be copious perspiration, and the pulse will slow down and the patient will sleep peacefully for hours…When taken alone, elder flowers are inclined to be emetic, and somewhat nauseous to some people. This effect can be prevented by combining them with peppermint (Mentha piperita). Peppermint is stimulant, nervine, calmative, and antiemetic, which offsets the undesirable effects of the elder flower. This combination is world-famous as a great fever and cold remedy.”

Other Valuable Herbs Include: Dandelion, Astragalus, and Fenugreek.
