 Microwave ovens are very popular and plentiful. They can be found in most homes, stores, hotels, businesses etc. Nevertheless, there are negative health consequences; microwave cooking vibrates the molecules in your food to levels they were never intended to experience. This has a tendency to damage the extremely perishable nutrients so they are incapable of nourishing your body way they were designed to.

In fact the microwave turns your food into a homeopathic remedy. The only problem however, is that the remedy is not healing but rather potentially disease promoting as opposed to health promoting.
 

The Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture published a study in the November 2003 issue explaining how they found that broccoli “zapped” in the microwave with a little water lost up to 97% of its beneficial antioxidant power. On the other hand, steamed broccoli lost only 11% or fewer of its antioxidants.
 

Another article in the April 1992 Pediatrics journal reported how Stanford University researchers detected substantial changes in microwaved breast milk. The breast milk changes included the destruction of 98% of the milk’s immunoglobulin-A antibodies and 96% of its liposome activity (which inhibits bacterial infections).
 

Additional sources of research also indicated that using a microwave to heat baby formula could possibly convert it into a more toxic solution.
 

Dr. Hans Hertel, a Swiss food scientist conducted a study which rendered shocking results.
 

As a matter of fact, the results were so shocking and controversial that the Swiss trade organization, the Swiss Association of Dealers for Electro-Apparatuses for Household and Industry, placed a gag order on the study. It took a full six years to eventually remove the gag order!

What was so detrimental that some did not wish it to be known? According to Dr. Hertel’s conclusions cooking with a microwave significantly modified the food’s nutrients so much so that changes occurred in the participant’s blood — alterations that indicted deterioration.

  • Increased cholesterol levels.
