Herbal vitamins are the natural form of vitamins which are found in herbs, these are the types that were taken by your grand parents but in their foods. In fact, herbs are in essence foods. Herbal vitamins are far superior to those that are chemically synthesized.

Therefore when I talk of herbal vitamins it means that the vitamins in question are neither synthetically prepared nor derived from any other artificial source. Most herbs contain both vitamins and minerals naturally.

For example ginger root contains vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, etc.

Take the herb Ginkgo biloba–it contains calcium, iron, niacin, potassium, selenium, vitamin A, vitamin C, and many other trace nutrients all in their natural or organic state. Thus they are very easy for the body to break down and use. Thus it becomes clear how herbal vitamins are very useful for a sound body and mind.

Usable amounts of these various nutrients are crucial for the sustenance of the body.

Consider the mineral calcium as an example. Calcium assists in overcoming problems such as anemia, osteoporosis and atherosclerosis, hay fever, acne, stress, aging, hypoglycemia, leg cramps, sleeplessness, infections, menstrual cramps, and muscle aches. It lowers cholesterol and triglycerides. Calcium also helps the heart to beat regularly and aids the nervous system. It also helps metabolize your body’s iron.

Similarly vitamin C effectively protects our skin against free radicals. It is also required for the manufacture of collagen–just as mortar holds bricks together, collagen is the glue that binds cells together. vitamin C also plays important roles in wound healing and as a natural antihistamine.
