Welcome back!
Candida is a parasitic type fungus that inhabits the intestines, genital tract, mouth, esophagus, and throat. Normally this fungus lives in healthy balance with the other bacteria and yeasts in the body, however, certain conditions can cause it to multiply, weaken the immune system and cause an acute infection. Candida esophagitis can also lead to oral thrush as the yeast infection spreads up the gut into the mouth. Candida can also cause diaper rash.
Candida, or Candidiasis as it is more properly called, is sometimes confused with other infections of the genital in both women and men.

CAUSES
Candida overgrowth tends to occur as a result of antibiotic use, hormonal changes during pregnancy or menopause, illness, or stress. Candida is a common cause of vaginal infections in women, and Candida may cause mouth infections in people with reduced immune function, or in patients taking certain antibiotics. Candida can be found in virtually all normal people, but causes problems in only a fraction.
Candida lives inside the bodies of up to 75% of the population, but under normal conditions it is kept in check by ‘good bacteria’ in the body.
Candida lives naturally on the skin, in the bowel and in the vagina. Sometimes it starts to grow rapidly and causes a rash (thrush).
Babies are more likely to contract thrush due to their weaker immune systems; especially during the course of another disease. —Babies are sometimes treated with acidophilus diluted in breast milk swabbed in their mouths, or a finger is dipped in the powder and the baby allowed to suck. The intent of acidophilus treatment is to rebalance the body.
Many people use yogurt with live cultures as home remedies for thrush…garlic having antifungal properties is one of the other natural substances widely used to cure thrush.
Acidophilus as noted above, in the form of tablets, capsules, or liquids is one of the other widely used home remedies for thrush.
Other remedies used include apple cider vinegar, and oil of oregano…
