Blood Clots And Natural Remedies

blood clots Someone asked me recently about blood clots and natural remedies; below is a brief look at some blood clots and natural remedies, remedies that can support the body in dissolving dangerous blood clots…it is not meant neither should it be construed to be medical advice or all inclusive. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. If you are in need of medical advise please consult a health care professional. Exercise Helps Dissolve Clots

Regular moderate exercise is one of the natural remedies for blood clots. Exercise increases the body’s ability to dissolve clots. One of the most important things is daily exercise outside in the fresh air, walking briskly every day. Because exercise increases the circulation it can be readily seen how it can be listed as one of the natural remedies for blood clots, although not a pill nor a solution.

Water As A Natural Remedy For Blood Clots

Another surprise blood clot natural remedy is plenty of good ole fashion water. That’s right, water is crucial to keep the blood fluid for lack of a better term. The blood is about 80-85% water. Therefore to keep it moving and free flowing and to help  reduce the likelihood of blood clots drink plenty of water every day, this helps keep the blood from getting thick, damaging the vessels and leading to clots.

Blood Clots And Natural Remedies–Foods To Eat And Foods To Avoid For Blood Clots

FOODS TO EAT

Fruits, vegetables, raw nuts, seeds legumes, and whole grains…be sure to include plenty of fiber in the diet Drink fresh carrot juice as often as possible.

FOODS TO AVOID

Fried food, salty food, processed food, dairy products or hydrogenated vegetables oils. Eat a vegan diet if at all possible. High protein diets increases blood clotting factors.

Fasting

Fasting decreases blood coagulation…it is good to fast once or twice per week

Drugs Avoid birth control pills. Herbs/Remedies Niacin can help, Vitamin C supplementation can help, and vitamin E (two 400 IU daily). Cleanse the colon with a good herbal colon cleanse. Then cleanse the liver with herbs like dandelion etc. Then cleanse the blood with blood cleansing herbs…in that order.

Blood Clots And Natural Remedies–Herbal And Other Natural Remedies For Blood Clots

Sassafras The herb Sassafras has been used to help dissolve blood clots. Dr. Christopher N.D. M.H. wrote “Here is an herb that is the finest spring tonic known to man. It thins the blood as it cleanses old sludge from the bloodstream. We have used it successfully for people who have suffered from blood clots and formerly needed to take toxic blood-thinning drugs.” (You can drink the tea)

Black Strap Molasses/And Other Remedies Two tablespoons 2 -3 times a day should compose a part of your program as well. 1) High doses of enzymes Nattokinase (Supplement) Vitalzyme, (Supplement) stop the initiating process in clot formation (fibrin formation). 2) Omega 3 Essential Fatty acids because they make blood more fluid thus inhibiting the formation of clots(there are vegan formulas available 3) Gingko Biloba taken twice daily also prevents clotting in a safe manner. Also ginger, cayenne, and garlic can be added to such a program daily. If you are looking for natural remedies for blood clots they will help significantly. However it is necessary that you follow any protocol of using natural remedies for blood clots consistently.

Blood Clots And Natural Remedies–More Natural Blood Clot Remedies:

Additional natural remedies for blood clots include the Herb, Yarrow. Yarrow can benefit the body in terms of blood clots if it is taken in the form of a tea; 3 to 4 cups of Yarrow tea can be taken daily as a natural remedy for blood clots, or rather has a part of an entire program or protocol in a natural blood clot remedy program.

Some researchers have also pointed out that by combining horse chestnut, Sweet Clover, and witch hazel and consuming it as  a tea  is helpful in helping to prevent blood clots in that the tea can  be used prior to or after surgery as a remedy to prevent stagnation of the blood which can lead to blood clots. Indeed this could be  very effective when considering blood clots and natural remedies.

Blood Clots And Natural Remedies- Final Word

Finally the many natural remedies for blood clots that the creator has given us can be and are very powerful, if again, any protocol involving natural remedies for blood clots is followed on a consistent basis. I hope that this article has helped in your search for  blood clots and natural remedies.

Can Chelation Therapy Help Your Heart Disease?

Chelation therapy is the process of removing from the body undesirable ionic material by the infusion, or taking orally, of an organic compound which has suitable chelating properties. Chelation therapy is a series of intravenous infusions of disodium EDTA plus various other substances. It is sometimes done by swallowing EDTA or other agents in pill form.

Chelation means “to grab” or “to bind.”.When EDTA is injected into the veins, it “grabs” heavy metals and minerals such as lead, mercury, copper, iron, arsenic, aluminum, and calcium and removes them from the body.

Chelation therapy is widely recognized as an effective heavy metal detoxification for people with lead poisoning, mercury poisoning, and other heavy metal toxicities. EDTA is the most commonly used chelator for heavy metal detox.

Alternative Therapy For Cardiovascular Disease?

Chelation therapy is being promoted and practiced all over the world as a form of alternative medicine in the treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. It has been recommended as a safe, relatively inexpensive and non-surgical method of restoring blood flow in atherosclerotic vessels.

However, controversy surrounds its effectiveness as far as being an effective treatment for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

A study published in The Journal Of The American Medical Association (JAMA) ascertained that “Infusions of EDTA remove lead, iron, copper, calcium and other metals from the body. Since calcium is often present in artery-blocking plaques, proponents of chelation therapy believe that the treatment can alleviate heart disease by removing the mineral….
but the 27 week study found with regard to cardio vascular disease —there was no statistically significant improvement.

Disagreement

Dr. Joseph Mercola writes, “It is not surprising to see a negative chelation study being published in JAMA. There are some serious flaws in the design of this study that clearly limit it from definitively “proving” that chelation therapy does not work.

However, many traditional physicians will use it to “prove” that to their patients.

I have used chelation therapy for the last 8 years in my practice. It is not a large part of what I do, but I have seen this therapy help turn many people’s lives around.”

Additionally Dr. Elmer Cranton exclaims, “This is sham science. The researchers based their assumptions of sample size and statistical power using standard deviation of 80 and it was actually over 170 in both groups. The study was therefore underpowered and unable to show any significant results, positive or negative

One third of the patients did not even have angina, and the ST changes on treadmill used as an endpoint are nonspecific,Almost twice as many patients in the placebo group received antianginal drugs (beta and calcium blockers, nitrates, etc.) and angina was one of the endpoints.

Nowhere do the authors state that they have evidence that EDTA was not effective. They merely state that they found “no evidence to support” EDTA, confirming that their study is underpowered and unable to show any significant results, beneficial or not. In other words it is not a negative study, it is not a positive study, it is junk science”.

Chromium Picolinate is a compound of trivalent chromium, an essential trace mineral and cofactor to insulin, and picolinic acid, a naturally occurring derivative of the amino acid tryptophan.

Chromium Picolinate is a trace element that promotes the activity of insulin and is a critical component of normal glucose metabolism. It stimulates insulin’s activity, thereby helping the metabolism of glucose and fat.

In fact there is a significant and growing body of clinical studies that indicate that supplementation with chromium, especially in the form of chromium picolinate, can safely improve insulin function and blood sugar control in people with insulin resistance, pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes.

Studies going back to the 1970s have shown chromium picolinate increases insulin sensitivity and helps body cells take up glucose, their basic fuel, from the blood stream.

Chromium Picolinate

Supplemental chromium is available in several forms, including chromium picolinate, chromium chloride, and chromium nicotinate. A human clinical study conducted by Ohio State University Department of Nutrition and presented at the 2005 Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) annual meeting showed that chromium picolinate is better absorbed than other commercially available forms of chromium.

Chromium For Weight Loss?

Studies suggest that chromium picolinate may be beneficial for weight loss, supporting loss of fat instead of lean muscle.

Although studies are limited, one trial involving 122 healthy adults showed that those given 400 mcg of chromium picolinate daily for three months lost six pounds of body fat, compared to those given a placebo.

A Recent Weight -Loss Study

The journal Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics published the findings of a study conducted by researchers from Louisiana State University (LSU) and the University of Florida where the researchers determined that a daily supplement of chromium picolinate can reduce sensations of hunger, fat cravings and food intake in the overweight.

Of the 42 non-smoking overweight female study participants (with an average age of 33) all reported decreased cravings for carbohydrates, sweets, fast food and high-fat food, however the participants taking chromium picolinate experienced a larger decrease than those taking a placebo.

Hunger levels as well as food intake were also significantly decreased: Those taking a placebo decreased their food intake by a mere 8 %; those taking chromium picolinate reduced it by a whopping 25%!

Additionally, those women taking the chromium supplement lost an average of 1.1 pounds over the course of the study, while those taking a placebo gained an equivalent amount.

Finally, a varied diet high in raw foods, together with abundant exercise in the fresh air and sunshine will bring the body back into a state of health and balance; and there will generally be no need for this amazing supplement, but the trace amounts needed will be obtained from foods and properly utilized by a body that is in a state of health.

Can Blueberries Really Shrink Tumors And Protect Us From Cancer

keith-picture4

Blueberries are indeed one of the “super foods” that have been placed on the earth by the Creator! They are a major source of flavonoids, in particular anthocyanins and flavanols.

Blueberries are a good source of vitamin C and they also contain vitamin A, iron, potassium and magnesium.

Blueberries are also thought to be helpful in improving memory function and healthy aging. In fact, they have been shown to cross the blood brain barrier after dietary intake; notwithstanding the precise mechanisms by which these plant-derived molecules affect the brain are unknown.

Even Blueberry leaves contain polyphenols that demonstrate alpha-amylase inhibitor activity and may represent an encouraging adjunctive treatment for type 2 diabetes.

Blueberries And Tumors

Notwithstanding all of the amazing benefits of the blueberry; we want to turn our attention to the promising effects this humble, but powerful, berry may have on tumors, and especially tumors in children.

Pointing to a recent study involving the blueberry; health researcher, John Barron, writes, “The latest news comes from a study out of Ohio State University finding that blueberries may shrink blood vessel tumors in babies while doubling survival rates. The research team fed blueberry extract to mice that had tumors. The mice receiving the extract lived twice as long as those mice that had blood vessel tumors but didn’t take the extract. Also, the tumors in the blueberry mice were 60 percent smaller than those in the control group.”

He points out the significance of this findings saying that, “First, blood vessel tumors are the most common tumors among young children, affecting up to 10 percent of all babies. The tumors pose a significant threat to kids: in about one out of 10 cases, the growths obstruct vital organs. The current treatments of choice include high doses of steroids, and if that doesn’t work, interferon — both disastrous for babies, destroying their immune systems, compromising their neurological development, and triggering other serious side effects such as ulcers, fractures, developmental delays, and severe infections….”

He also points out the potential risks of surgery.

The researchers in the Ohio State University study mentioned above also take the position that the study’s findings indicate that blueberries may also alleviate melanoma, as well as cancers of the breast, ovaries, and head and neck.

Loads Of Evidence

The Ohio State University finding though great is not really that unique with regard to blueberries. For example… the University of Illinois in a 2005 study found that wild blueberries inhibited the initiation and proliferation of bladder and liver cancer cells, chiefly due to the extremely powerful antioxidant in the blueberries that I mentioned earlier called anthocyanin!.

Finally a 2006 study discovered that, pterostilbene, a compound found in blueberries, and chemically related to resveratrol, cut the development of liver cancer lesions in half. This same substance in a 2007 study reduced pre-cancerous lesions of the colon by 57 percent, while several studies simultaneously found that blueberries help fight prostate cancer!

Moral…EAT YOUR BLUEBERRIES!

Dandelion Root And Its Benefits For You

Dandelion Root is a perennial plant which is mild and is often used safely by those with chronic constipation.A tea made with Dandelion Root can be taken up to four times daily as it is not a harsh laxative.

Dandelion Root is also used as a natural diuretic that helps to increase the bile and gastric secretions.

The herb is also used to improve appetite, minor digestive problems, and works as a milk laxative.

It is potassium-rich and as a result is used to help promote healthy heart function. It is thought to help heart function due to its potassium content working with sodium to regulate the body’s water balance and normalize heart rhythms.

Potassium-rich Dandelion has been called the “free health food pharmacy” that grows everywhere! In fact, not only the root but the leaves are also considered to be a superior natural diuretic, good blood cleanser and excellent tonic that can help detoxify the system, especially the liver and gallbladder.

In one instance a leaf extract was found to exert a stronger diuretic effect in rats and mice than did a root extract

The esteemed Dr. John Christopher even mentioned the efficacy of Dandelion Root when combined with the herb Yellow Dock as a good source of usable iron for the body. He wrote;

“Anemia may be caused by iron deficiency or other problems. Iron supplements are commonly given to expectant mothers, yet these are usually made of ferrous sulphate and cannot be utilized by the body. Being inorganic, they are absorbed but not assimilated and can cause problems in the system. In addition, they destroy vitamin E that may be taken at the same time. You can build up the iron in your system by taking yellow dock or the yellow dock combination. Some midwives say that yellow dock alone doesn’t help for very long; its effect sometimes wears off. I have had excellent results combining yellow dock root and dandelion root; dandelion contains an excellent spectrum of minerals that enhance the 40% iron content of the yellow dock.” The Complete Writings Of Dr. John Christopher

Finally while most people today find Dandelion bothersome as a weed, dandelion enjoys a long history in traditional herbal medicine.

We often fail to realize just how crucial the many nutrients that are body’s need are to our overall health. However, this sometimes long term deficiency of minute amounts of nutrients can cause serious problems. Let’s take a look at just a few of the body’s many nutrients and how they benefit the body.

Vitamin B 12

Vitamin B12 helps prevent anemia and can enhance sleep quality. Age, malabsorption, and a vegan diet that is not being properly balanced can all lead to B12 deficiency.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E reduces the appearance of wrinkles, and, when applied topically, soothes dry or rough skin. Food sources of vitamin E include wheat germ oil, sunflower seeds, safflower and sunflower oils, almonds, spinach, peaches, prunes, tomatoes, cabbage, asparagus, and avocados. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant that helps to lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol levels. It also helps prevent blood platelets from clumping together.

Magnesium

Magnesium, niacin and potassium support the heart muscle and its force of contraction. B vitamins such as folic acid, pyridoxine (B6), and cyanocobalamin (B12) must be present for the nervous system. Magnesium is also involved in membrane integrity, muscle contraction, and vascular tone. Additionally, researchers continue to explore the connection between calcium and cholesterol levels.

Zinc

Zinc is necessary for proper immune system function, as well as for the maintenance of vision, taste, and smell. Zinc consumption is also strongly linked to a reduction of prostate cancer.

This is just a brief summary of just a few nutrients and some of their numerous functions in the human body…so take care of your body and it will take care of you for your body is fearfully and wonderfully made.

Heard Of Beta-Sitosterol? Could Beta Sitosterol Be The Answer For Prostate Health

Posted by NatureDoc | Posted in Herbal Vitamins, Herbs That Heal, Male Menopause, Natural Pain Relief, Natural Vitamins, Prostate Remedies | Posted on 02-02-2009

keith-picture

Prostate problems affect almost 90% of males over age 50. Additionally, for many men the prostate problems begin at the age of 40. However, many men are excited about beta-sitosterol as a powerful remedy for the prostate.

Beta-sitosterol…Powerful Prostate Remedy?

Beta-sitosterol is plant sterol found in almost all plants. It is one of the main subcomponents of a group of plant sterols known as phytosterols. Beta-sitosterol is present in foods like soybeans, corn oil and wheat germ.

Recently, dense extracts of Beta-sitosterol have been studied for the purposes of decreasing cholesterol and the distress of BPH such as often and painful urination.

Beta-sitosterol And The Prostate

Beta Sitosterol has long been used by Europeans for prostate problems and now its popularity is growing among American men.

Is is and has been the most prescribed agent for an enlarged prostate for over twenty years in Europe. Beta-sitosterol is 3000 times stronger than the popular and effective Saw Palmetto and the efficacy of its effects on prostate health have been studied and published in the same medical journals that report on the efficacy of prescription medications.

Beta-sitosterol typically comes in mixtures with other phytosterols and also with substances such as pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto extract.

In Europe, doses used for BPH are 20 to 130 milligrams of beta-sitosterol three times daily with meals. It is the common denominator found in saw palmetto, pygeum africanum, pumpkinseed oil and stinging nettles. However, the concentration of beta sitosterol in these herbs is very small.

Prostate Alternative? Maximum Prostate 3000 More Powerful Than Saw Palmetto!

2 German Clinical Studies

Two German clinical studies have confirmed the beneficial effects of beta-sitosterol in patients with prostate enlargement—

The first study conducted by Klippel and coworkers showed that using 130 mg per day of beta-sitosterol significantly improved the condition of the patients: the international prostate symptom score increased by 5.4 points, post-void residual urinary volume decreased and peak urinary flow rate increased [1].

Another double-blind trial involving 200 men with benign prostate enlargement showed that the intake of 20 mg of beta-sitosterol three times a day for six months significant improved urinary flow and other symptoms. Administration of the sterol had no effect on the volume of the prostate. Also this study concluded that significant improvement in symptoms and urinary flow parameters show the effectiveness of beta-sitosterol in the treatment of benign prostate enlargement.

Finally it should be understood that no one herb or supplement is a miracle cure. As effective as any supplement or remedy may be it is only part of a system of healing which includes correct eating habits, drinking plenty of water, getting plenty of exercise etc…

Remember…  “For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.” Proverbs 8:11.
